BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department reported the arrest of a 15-year-old male in connection with an armed carjacking and an attempted armed carjacking on November 28.
The series of events began around 7:35 p.m., when Northwest District patrol officers responded to an attempted carjacking in the 4300 block of Wabash Avenue. The 27-year-old male victim was approached by two suspects while in his vehicle on the 3500 block of Dolfield Avenue. The assailants attempted to gain access to his car, but upon failure, one fled in a red Toyota and the other on foot.
The victim pursued the fleeing suspect, eventually apprehending him in the 4300 block of Wabash Avenue. Mass Transit Police, informed of the situation by a bystander, took custody of the suspect, who was found with a BB gun.
Further investigation linked this juvenile to another armed carjacking that occurred shortly before, around 6:51 p.m., in the 7000 block of Surrey Drive.
After being treated for minor injuries sustained during the chase, the suspect was transported to the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, facing charges of carjacking and attempted carjacking.
