BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A shooting in Southwest Baltimore yesterday has led to a police investigation following the injury of a 16-year-old male. The incident occurred around 4:12 p.m. Officers arrived at the 500 block of Wildwood Parkway after reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, the officers noticed a vehicle hastily leaving the area, heading east on Edmondson Avenue. They promptly stopped the vehicle and discovered the teenage victim inside, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper left thigh. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation led to the identification of a crime scene at the 4000 block of West Franklin Street. Detectives from the Southwest District Shooting Unit have taken over the investigation and are diligently working on the case.
