PARKVILLE, MD – A domestic disturbance call late on Friday night, led to a fatal officer-involved shooting in Parkville. Baltimore County Police officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Maple Ave. around 11:30 p.m. following reports of a domestic incident.
Upon arrival, officers heard sounds of distress from inside the residence. The initial investigation revealed a person was fatally shot inside the house. During the response, a suspect engaged officers with gunfire.
This led to an exchange of shots, resulting in the suspect being fatally wounded outside the home. A handgun was found near the suspect’s body.
Three Baltimore County Police officers discharged their firearms during the incident. The homicide unit of the Baltimore County Police Department is investigating the homicide aspect, while the Maryland Attorney General’s Office Independent Investigations Division is handling the inquiry into the officer-involved shooting.
