One Dead, One Injured in Frankford School Road Shooting

FRANKFORD, DE – The Delaware State Police are currently conducting a death investigation following an incident in Frankford that resulted in one fatality and left another man critically injured.

The incident occurred in the early hours of November 24, 2023, around 1:10 a.m. State troopers were dispatched to the 30200 block of Frankford School Road in response to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered two men with life-threatening injuries near a Mercedes-Benz SUV and a Honda four-wheeler.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the SUV and the four-wheeler were involved in a collision on Frankford School Road, resulting in both men being ejected from the four-wheeler. The SUV’s occupants, a 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Frankford, were reportedly unharmed in the incident.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old man from Millsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family and relatives. The second victim, a 20-year-old man also from Millsboro, was transported to a nearby trauma hospital for critical injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the collision and the subsequent events are under investigation. The Delaware State Police are actively working to determine the sequence of events and the cause of this tragic incident.
