NEW YORK CITY, NY – A grand larceny incident on a southbound 2 Train has prompted an investigation by the New York City Police Department.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 8, as the train neared the Gun Hill Road subway station, at approximately 8:25 am.

A 33-year-old male victim reported that an unknown male individual snatched his iPhone 12 ProMax and then exited the train at the Gun Hill subway station, fleeing the scene on foot. The victim was unharmed during the incident.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect, which are available through the DCPI. The public is asked to assist in the investigation by contacting the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS for English or 1-888-57-PISTA for Spanish.
