TAMPA, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide that occurred on the 7800 block of Rideout Road in Tampa.
The incident, which took place near a local school, resulted in one fatality.
Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed his concern regarding the proximity of the shooting to the school, emphasizing the department’s commitment to safeguarding children in the community.
Deputies have identified and are interviewing a person of interest in relation to the homicide.
The Sheriff’s Office has not yet released additional details about the investigation or the identity of the victim.
