WASHINGTON, D.C. — A woman lost her life after being shot numerous times in Southeast Washington, D.C., early yesterday morning. The event has prompted an investigation by the Homicide Branch of the D.C. Metro Police Department.
The incident unfolded just after 7:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. Officers, responding to reports of a shooting, discovered a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
