Buffalo Man Arraigned for Fatal Hit-and-Run that Killed 65-Year-Old Man

ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Orchard Park Town Court Justice, Jorge S. DeRosas, arraigned 32-year-old Khairullah I. Hasein of Buffalo on a charge of Leaving the Scene of an Incident Resulting in Death, a Class “D” felony.

On Monday, at approximately 8:19 p.m., the Orchard Park Police Department and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving an injured pedestrian on Southwestern Boulevard near Stadium Drive. A 65-year-old Rochester man was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries at ECMC.

The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run was located in Buffalo. Hasein, employed as a delivery driver, allegedly fled the scene after striking the pedestrian with his vehicle.

He is detained without bail and is scheduled for a felony hearing on Friday, November 17, at 4:30 p.m.

If found guilty, Hasein could face up to 7 years in prison.
