Convicted Felon Charged with Multiple Offenses After Lehigh Acres Shooting Incident

LEE COUNTY, FL – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of Brione Joiner following a shooting incident in Lehigh Acres.

On September 10, 2022, officers responded to a reported altercation involving gunfire on the 3400 block of 12th Street SW.

The Violent Crimes Unit took charge of the investigation, uncovering that Joiner had confronted a man in his vehicle and fired several shots, striking the vehicle.

Joiner, a convicted felon, was found at his residence and apprehended following a brief attempt to flee.

A search of Joiner’s home led to the discovery of an AR-15 style pistol, ammunition, and other relevant items. He now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, firing a missile into a dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
