NEW YORK, NY – November 09, 2023 – A significant recall has been announced for ski bindings from Armada, Atomic, and Salomon. This recall, involving approximately 4,250 units in the United States and an additional 1,446 in Canada, addresses a critical safety concern.
The hazard identified involves the toe component of the recalled ski bindings, which can fail, leading to the ski boot disconnecting from the ski. This malfunction poses serious fall and injury hazards to users.
Remedy and Recall Details
The remedy for this issue is a replacement of the affected part. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled ski bindings and return them to any authorized Armada, Atomic Ski, or Salomon dealer. At these locations, a free inspection will be conducted, and if necessary, a free replacement of the toe portion of the ski bindings will be provided.
The recall specifically involves the following ski touring bindings, distinguished by their serial numbers:
- Serial numbers ranging from 22P00000 to 22P10531
- 22P92954 to 22P99999
- 23P10531 to 23P10886
- 230600000 to 230769999
These serial numbers are only visible when the bindings are disassembled. Consumers should not attempt to disassemble the bindings themselves but rather visit authorized dealers for verification and service.

The recall includes various models from the three brands, each identifiable by specific names and characteristics. All recalled models have gray springs in the toe component. The affected models are as follows:
- Armada: Models including N TRACER SUMMIT 9 BR Black and N TRACER TOUR Black.
- Atomic: Various N BACKLAND models in Black/Gunmetal and other color combinations.
- Salomon: Models including N MTN PURE Black/Titan and N MTN SUMMIT series in various colors.
