BALTIMORE, MD —The Baltimore Police Department’s Inner Harbor units apprehended a puppy on the run in the 600 block of East Baltimore Street on November 11.
During routine patrol, officers spotted the puppy, later nicknamed “Forrest Gump,” fleeing.
They pursued and cornered the four-legged suspect at Broadway and East Baltimore Street. Lacking proper identification, “Forrest” was taken into custody and willingly jumped into the back of the police cruiser.
The puppy was transported to Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) and is awaiting his owners to claim him. Anyone recognizing “Forrest Gump” or knowing his owners is encouraged to contact BARCS at 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225, or call 410-396-4695.
