WASHINGTON, D.C. — The D.C. Metro Police Department has made a significant arrest concerning a shooting that occurred on October 2nd in Southwest D.C.
The incident, which took place around 8:30 pm in the 2100 block of Second Street SW, resulted in gunshot wounds to two men and a juvenile. Responding officers, already in the area for a separate call, provided immediate assistance and transported the victims to local hospitals.
Following an investigation that involved an exchange of gunfire between two parties, the Criminal Apprehension Unit apprehended a 17-year-old male from Northeast D.C. on Wednesday. He faces charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is also implicated in an armed carjacking on May 30th.
This case saw collaborative efforts from the Criminal Apprehension Unit, the First District Detectives Unit, and the Carjacking Task Force. This arrest marks the second in connection with the October shooting.
