ORANGE COUNTY, NY – On Thursday, November 2, Angelica “Jelly” Rodriguez, a 39-year-old from Middletown, accepted a plea deal in the Orange County Court.

She pleaded guilty to Third-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy in the Second and Fourth Degrees before the Honorable Craig Stephen Brown.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has proposed a 10-year prison sentence with three years of post-release supervision, to be finalized at her sentencing on February 26, 2024.

The City of Middletown Police Department’s two-year investigation into cocaine trafficking implicated Rodriguez in significant drug activities.

Evidence against Rodriguez and her alleged associate Michael Rodriguez culminated with court-ordered eavesdropping, ultimately leading to the seizure of substantial narcotics, cash, and firearms from Michael Rodriguez’s Yonkers residence on July 26. Rodriguez is believed to have been a key supplier in the distribution network.
