Baltimore Police Arrest 15-Year-Old for Attempted Murder

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A teenager has been arrested and charged as an adult in connection with a Northeast Baltimore shooting that took place last Wednesday.

A 15-year-old male has been taken into custody. The altercation began when the suspect was engaged in a fight with another, unidentified male. A 47-year-old man attempted to break up the fight, at which point the suspect drew a firearm and shot him in the ankle.

The Northeast District detectives pursued the case, identifying and arresting the juvenile suspect on Monday. He now faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and is being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

The shooting took place on November 2nd around 4:41 p.m. on the 4300 block of Belair Road, where the victim was found and later treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
