WEST NEW YORK, NJ – The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit has reported the arrest of Jason Flores, a 37-year-old West New York resident, in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred last Friday.

Flores faces charges for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision and endangering an injured person.

The arrest took place at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where Flores was previously detained for unrelated reasons.

The incident in question dates back to December 14, 2022, when a 33-year-old North Bergen woman was struck by an Acura MDX while riding an electric bicycle at the intersection of 50th Street and Bergenline Avenue.

The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was attended to at Jersey City Medical Center. Flores, who allegedly operated the Acura, did not remain at the scene post-incident.
