Southeast Raleigh Neighborhood Rocked by Sunday Shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Police Department, alongside the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, rushed to the scene of a shooting late Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Mindspring Drive, off Rock Quarry Road.

A male victim was shot three blocks away on Pearl Road and was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

While officers cordoned off an area near a house on Mindspring Drive with crime scene tape, no suspects have been detained in relation to the shooting.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, which remains active as they seek to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
