WILLINGBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ – Tamir Phillips, a 24-year-old from Bensalem, PA, has been convicted of the 2021 murder of 14-year-old Jesse Everett.
Following an eight-hour jury deliberation, Phillips was found guilty of murder and weapons charges.
Sentencing is set for January 5, 2024, by the Hon. Gerard H. Breland, J.S.C.
The case stemmed from an incident on August 21, 2021, at the Phillips 66 gas station in Willingboro Township.
Everett was shot in the head by Phillips following a dispute involving a stolen vehicle. Although transported to the hospital, Everett succumbed to his injuries. Phillips was identified and charged shortly after the shooting.
