Toms River, NJ – There are just three days left before Toms River residents vote in what many are calling one of the most important elections in town history, and Republican candidate Dan Rodrick secured two shocking endorsements on Saturday.
Former New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli joined with NJ 101.5 conservative media host Bill Spadea to endorse Rodrick’s campaign for mayor.
The two prominent Republicans are currently campaigning to be the next governor of Newcandidate Jersey.
“This year’s elections couldn’t be more important,” Ciattarreli said. “We have a real chance to end the Democrats’ death grip on Trenton and send Phil Murphy a powerful message about the direction of our state, but that only happens if Republicans get out to vote for our entire ticket.”
Bill Spadea said voters in Toms River deserve better than the current overdevelopment plans on the table, which were fully endorsed by Democrat leaders who served on the council when the plan was developed.

Spadea noted that under Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore, Republicans are again united.
“I’m proud to support Chairman Gilmore and all of our Ocean County GOP candidates. Chairman Gilmore has done an excellent job uniting all Republicans in Ocean County,” Spadea said. “Look no further than Toms River and Dan Rodrick for evidence. Dan is a great candidate who will protect downtown Toms River and stop plans to turn it into a city.”
The two Republican candidates for governor in 2025 were also united in their support of Column A Republicans in Ocean County.
“Dan’s opponent is a far-left liberal who has publicly stated that he not only supports high rises in downtown Toms River but will build more. Voters in Toms River deserve better. I’m encouraging them all to support and vote for Dan,” Spadea said.
Ciattarelli reminded that Toms River voters can only move forward from the town’s current path if they come out and vote for Rodrick and Column A Republicans.
“Join me in full support of Column A all the way, including your local candidates in Toms River and his entire team,” Ciattarelli said. “Don’t forget to vote.”
Spadea and Ciattarelli’s endorsements were not the only shocker this weekend.
Ted Price, the past president of the Toms River Democrats also said he will be voting for Rodrick on Tuesday because of his plan for a better Toms River that does not include a downtown city, hi-rise apartments, and high-density developments.
“I’m honored to have the support of the two front runners for governor in New Jersey supporting me,” Rodrick said. “Both Bill Spadea and Jack Ciattarelli are at the forefront of the future of New Jersey and leading the charge to reverse course and make our state more affordable and fighting against the radical policies being forced upon the people of New Jersey by candidates like Ben Giovine.”
Rodrick also has the endorsement of Frank Sadeghi, who is running for a seat on the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.
“I am fully confident Dan will be a great leader for Toms River and a mayor who can bring people together and get the job done,” Sadeghi said at a rally for Rodrick at Shogun restaurant in Toms River. At that event, dignitaries from state senators Robert Singer, Senator James Holzapfel, Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy, and Point Pleasant Mayor Paul Kanitra supported Rodrick.
Rodrick also has the endorsement of both Republican clubs in Toms River, which came out together in force at this week’s event in Toms River.
The Ocean County Federation of Women, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, The Southern Ocean County Conservative Republicans, and other prominent Republican groups have endorsed Rodrick.
“If Ben Giovine is elected on Tuesday, you can expect Toms River to stay on its current course because he believes in the radical agenda driving Toms River toward becoming a major city,” Rodrick said. “Not only is Ben for higher taxes, proven by his time on the Toms River School Board, but he was also a board member when the existing policy on keeping parents in the dark on their children’s preferences was drafted. His Clean Slate team enacted this controversial policy after Ben left for a job with Congressman Andy Kim in Washington, D.C.”
Ocean County GOP Chairman George Gilmore agreed that Rodrick is the candidate for the job to put Toms River back on the right track.
“I think Dan is on the right track and doing the right things, and he will make a fine mayor for Toms River,” the GOP Chairman said.
On Saturday, Conservative media influencer Joseph Rullo, who also ran for governor in the past endorsed Rodrick.
“We need Roderick as Toms River Mayor and not radical liberal Congressman Andy Kim’s campaign operative Ben Giovine, who once embraced Menendez! Now he will work to transition Andy Kim into the US Senate by attempting to infiltrate Toms River,” Rullo said.
Early voting at the Ocean County Library continues through Sunday and Election Day is Tuesday.
