PALMYRA, PA – A failed robbery attempt at Weis Markets on East Main Street has led to the arrest of Mark Shane Herrick.
Palmyra Police were called to the scene last Friday, following reports of a suspect threatening a cashier with a knife, saying he would stab them if money was not handed over.
Herrick, who fled empty-handed, was identified as the perpetrator and has been linked to additional robberies across several counties.
The 40-year-old faces felony and misdemeanor charges including Robbery and Simple Assault. Herrick’s arrest took place on Monday, by the Palmyra Police, and subsequent arraignment occurred on Wednesday, by District Judge Carl Garver, who ordered Herrick to be held without bail at Dauphin County Prison.
The investigation remains ongoing, and Palmyra Police encourage anyone with further information to come forward.
