13-Year-Old Boy Threatened with Knife on NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is actively seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent menacing event.

The incident in question took place last Wednesday, when at approximately 1:25 pm, a 13-year-old male was threatened with a knife aboard a southbound 1 train.

As the train neared the 66th Street-Lincoln Center Station, an altercation arose between the young victim and an unidentified male, which escalated when the latter displayed a knife and made threats. The assailant departed the train at the 66th Street-Lincoln Center Station, evading further contact.

No physical injuries were reported following the encounter. The NYPD has provided media footage of the suspect and is calling on the public to aid in his identification.

The NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline (1-800-577-TIPS) and other avenues have been made available for tips, which can be submitted anonymously. The Police Department asked anyone with information to come forward.
