YONKERS, NY – A stolen 2021 Porsche Macan, reported missing from Great Meadows, New Jersey, was successfully located and recovered in Yonkers earlier this week. The Yonkers Police Department was alerted to the vehicle’s presence in the city by a car dealership’s tracking system.

Officers Pete Denyssenko and Virginia Creary from the 4th Precinct identified the vehicle stationed on Nepperhan Avenue. Opting for a discreet approach, they surveilled the Porsche from afar, waiting for the person who had unlawfully taken it to come back.

Their vigilance was rewarded approximately 25 minutes later when a male individual approached and unlocked the vehicle using a key fob. As the officers attempted to detain him, he tried to escape on foot. Officer Denyssenko pursued him, while Officer Creary strategically used her patrol car to block his escape route.

With no alternative, the male chose to surrender. He was identified as Jayden Martell, a 20-year-old resident of Newark, New Jersey. Following his arrest, Martell was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree. The Porsche and its key fob were secured, awaiting their return to the original owner.
