CAMBRIDGE, MD – A home invasion coupled with a shooting occurred on the 700 block of Foxtail Drive at approximately 10:35 p.m. on October 29, according to a press release from the Cambridge Police Department.
Officers were alerted to the situation by Dorchester County Department of Emergency Services, who reported at least one shooting victim on site.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the rear door of the residence had been shot out. Multiple shell casings and damage from gunfire were evident inside the home. A 39-year-old male victim was found with a gunshot wound to his left ankle and foot area. Dorchester County EMS transported the victim to Tidal Health in Salisbury; his injuries are non-life-threatening.
Cambridge Police Department detectives have taken over the investigation.
The initial report indicates there were two suspects, both dressed in black and wearing face masks. One was armed with a handgun and the other with a rifle.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
