D.C. Police Nab Woman in Connection with Armed Carjacking

WASHINGTON, DC — A woman has been arrested by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force for an armed carjacking that transpired during morning rush hour on September 18th in Northwest, D.C.

The incident occurred at about 7:10 a.m. The victim was driving on the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest D.C. when his car was rear-ended by the suspect’s vehicle. When he pulled over to share contact details, several people got out of the vehicle that had hit him. One of them pointed a firearm at the victim, demanded his car, and took personal property from his pocket before fleeing the scene.

Rajaee Dinkins Mitchell, a 32-year-old resident of Northwest D.C., was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with Carjacking.
