Utica Police Seize Firearms, Cash in Narcotics Investigation

UTICA, NY – On October 26, the Utica Police Department Special Investigations Unit, in collaboration with the Oneida County Narcotics Unit and UPD Crime Prevention Unit, executed multiple search warrants as part of a prolonged investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics.

The focus of the investigation, 40-year-old Kyshene Jamison of Utica, was found to be operating out of several locations. Search warrants were served at addresses in the 200 block of Rutger St and the 700 block of Herkimer Rd, leading to the seizure of narcotics, packaging materials, two loaded handguns, an assault rifle, and over $25,000 in cash.

Upon completing the search warrants, Jamison was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, four counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
