GREENBELT, MD — Two males were arrested at Beltway Plaza Mall for multiple charges including trespassing, drug possession, and firearm-related offenses. The arrest occurred after the individuals, one adult and one juvenile, returned to the property despite being banned earlier in the day by mall security.
Officers on patrol noticed the suspects walking back onto mall property with masks on their faces. Upon detaining them for trespassing, a loaded semi-automatic handgun was discovered in the waistband of one suspect. Further inquiry found the duo to be in possession of a large quantity of controlled dangerous substances (CDS).
Both individuals now face charges of trespassing, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and other firearm-related offenses. Police continue to investigate the incident.
