Suspect Charged in Double Homicide in Bladensburg

BLADENSBURG, MD — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has charged 35-year-old Dwayne Richardson of Bladensburg in connection with a double fatal shooting that occurred in December 2022. Richardson is accused of killing 29-year-old Abdul Bah, who had no fixed address, and 29-year-old Moshood Akinrinsola of Beltsville.

On the morning of December 7, 2022, police responded to a collision at the 5400 block of Annapolis Road. Officers discovered both victims inside an SUV, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators utilized various techniques to identify Richardson as the suspect. It has been established that the suspect and the victims were known to each other, although the motive behind the shootings is still under investigation.

Richardson faces two counts each of first and second degree murder, among other related charges. He is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
