GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officers from the Galloway Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of White Horse Pike and Bremen Avenue involving an overturned vehicle and several injuries. A 2012 GMC Acadia was found overturned in the eastbound lanes, and a 2016 Hyundai Elantra displayed heavy passenger side damage.
According to the initial police report, Ashite Watkins was driving the Hyundai Elantra westbound on White Horse Pike. Watkins stopped at the intersection with Bremen Avenue to make a left turn. While turning, his vehicle was struck by the eastbound GMC Acadia, operated by Gary R. Geisenhoffer. Watkins was ejected from his vehicle due to the impact. Geisenhoffer’s Acadia hit the light standard at the intersection before overturning. A Honda Accord driven by Tracy Taylor was also hit by the falling light standard.
Watkins was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for further treatment. Geisenhoffer sustained minor injuries and declined additional medical attention at the scene. Taylor reported no injuries.
