NEW CASTLE, DE – On Saturday, at about 1:11 a.m., the Delaware State Police responded to a disorderly situation at the Kum-On-Inn located at 249 Christiana Road.
Kathryn Eriksson, a 43-year-old woman from Newark, was found causing a disturbance. She had refused to leave the bar and threatened the staff with a knife.
Upon the troopers’ arrival, Eriksson was found seated at the bar with a folding knife in her pocket.
The investigation revealed that Eriksson had become disorderly after service hours and threatened bar employees with the knife. No injuries occurred during the incident.
Eriksson now faces multiple felony charges, including Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony and Aggravated Menacing. She has been committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $37,700 cash bond.
