Toms River South Dominates Central Regional in 41-20 Win

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River South bulldozed its way through Central Regional, scoring a decisive 41-20 victory in Friday night’s Shore Conference match-up.

Neither team managed to score in the first half, but Toms River South took control in the second half, amassing 335 rushing yards overall. Jake Henehan was the star of the game with 183 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Central Regional struggled throughout the game and remained scoreless for the first three quarters. The team’s record fell to 3-7 following the loss, while Toms River South improved to 7-2.

Besides Henehan’s standout performance, Damir Melson contributed 52 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Toms River South. James Alexander also chipped in with 100 rushing yards, rounding out a strong ground game that proved too much for Central Regional to handle.

With no passing yards recorded for either team, the ground game was the focal point of the match. Toms River South effectively executed their running strategy, allowing them to dominate both sides of the ball.
