KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – On Friday, around 8:04 PM, the Upper Merion Police Department received numerous calls about a shooting in the King of Prussia Mall parking lot.
Responding officers were directed to the lower level of the Blue Parking Garage near Macy’s. Witnesses at the scene reported hearing multiple gunshots. While no active shooting was discovered upon the police’s arrival, no immediate victims were identified either.
Shortly after, a man contacted the police, stating that he had sustained a minor hand injury and was at a nearby gas station. The individual reported an altercation with an assailant during a sneaker sale in the parking garage.
During the confrontation, both the victim, who was licensed to carry a firearm, and the suspected assailants allegedly discharged weapons. Witnesses reported seeing three to four males dressed in black fleeing the scene.
The Upper Merion Police Department discovered several pieces of evidence in the vicinity of the reported shooting. It has been determined that the victim was acquainted with the suspects. The department requests anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 610-265-3232.
