NEW YORK, NY – Police are actively investigating a double homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 21.
At 2:44 a.m., officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding shots fired at 73-22 69 Place. Upon arrival, law enforcement found two individuals, a male and a female, unconscious and unresponsive due to gunshot wounds to their heads.
The scene was situated on the second floor living room of the residence.Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after and pronounced the 39-year-old female and the 33-year-old male dead at the scene.
A firearm was found near the deceased male.
The identities of the victims are being withheld until family members are properly notified. The investigation is ongoing.
