CECIL COUNTY – A Delaware woman won a $27,926 progressive jackpot in Maryland’s FAST PLAY Gold Fish game, reinforcing her belief that she has “better luck in Maryland.”
The 40-year-old New Castle County resident purchased the $2 ticket at Royal Farms #136 in Cecilton. She was intrigued to find three “dolphin” symbols on her ticket, reminiscent of her father’s fondness for the Miami Dolphins. Her excitement peaked when she saw “Progressive Jackpot” listed as the prize, with the current jackpot amount stated as $27,926.
Though she usually prefers scratch-offs, the winner said she opts for progressive games when the jackpots climb high. She plans to use the winnings to pay bills.
Royal Farms #136, located at 115 North Bohemia Avenue in Cecil County, will receive a $279.27 bonus for selling the winning ticket, purchased on October 16.
The Delaware resident is the sixth Gold Fish® jackpot winner since the game’s release on September 5, 2022. Fourteen additional progressive jackpots, along with prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000, are still available.
