FORT WASHINGTON – A 74-year-old woman from Prince George’s County is celebrating a $100,000 win on a scratch-off ticket, courtesy of her husband.

The husband, aware of his wife’s affinity for scratch-off games, purchased a $10 Money Bag Multiplier instant ticket at the Stop & Shop Convenience Mart in Fort Washington. Upon scratching the ticket in their car, the woman discovered that one of her numbers matched a winning number, revealing the top prize of $100,000.

“I’ve won small amounts on this scratch-off before, but never anything like this,” said the winner.

Both went to the Lottery’s Customer Resource Center in Baltimore to claim the prize, after safely storing the ticket at home. They plan to use the winnings to pay off a vehicle loan and make home improvements. Any remaining funds will be saved for future needs.

The Stop & Shop Convenience Mart, located at 8500 Allentown Road, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket. Additional prizes for the Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off are still available, including one more $100,000 top prize, four $50,000 prizes, nine $10,000 prizes, and multiple prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
