Suspect Charged for 2020 Chicago Murder

A 32-year-old Chicago resident has been apprehended and charged with the murder of a 31-year-old male victim dating back to May 2020.

Durell Foster, residing at the 4600 block of S. Laramie Ave., was arrested by the Chicago Police Department on October 17, 2023.

He is now facing a felony count of first-degree murder, with a warrant issued for his arrest.

The arrest took place in the 1100 block of S. Oakley Blvd. Foster was identified as the alleged perpetrator of the crime that occurred on May 29, 2020, around 12:47 p.m., at the 4500 block of S. Lamon Ave. in Chicago’s 8th District. The investigation led to Foster’s identification, culminating in his apprehension earlier this week.
