Repeat Offender Arrested for Dealing Drugs in Poughkeepsie

In a continued effort to combat drug-related offenses, the Dutchess County Task Force arrested Poughkeepsie resident Michael Graham, 37, on charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Det. Sgt. Adam Harris underscored the Task Force’s commitment to eradicating drug dealers from the local area, marking this arrest as a reiteration of their ongoing pledge.

The arrest took place at the Dutchess County Probation Office, following allegations of Graham’s continued engagement in narcotics sales despite a prior arrest on Thursday, Sept. 14. Triggered by fresh information about Graham’s alleged persistent drug dealing in Poughkeepsie while under probationary supervision, the Task Force, with the assistance of Dutchess County Probation, initiated a subsequent investigation leading to his re-arrest.

Graham is currently held at the Dutchess County Jail without bail, with additional charges pending. Through this action, the Task Force aims to underline its rigorous approach towards targeting individuals involved in the narcotics trade, especially those defying law enforcement intervention, despite the existing state law limitations concerning drug offenses, as stated by Harris.
