Delaware State Police Arrest Three in Smyrna on Drug and Weapon Charges

Three individuals were arrested on drug and weapon charges in Smyrna, Delaware, during a probation check on Thursday morning. The Delaware State Police, in collaboration with the Delaware Probation and Parole and the Kent County Governor’s Task Force, apprehended Demetric Isabell, 19, Lamont Isabell, 22, and Tashiayanna Dillmore, 24.

According to authorities, the joint team conducted the probation check at Demetric Isabell’s residence on the 400 block of Monrovia Avenue in Smyrna. During the check, one .45 caliber bullet and drug paraphernalia were found in the residence. Demetric Isabell, who is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, was arrested without incident.

Also present at the location were Lamont Isabell, Tashiayanna Dillmore, and young children. Lamont Isabell was taken into custody after a computer check revealed he had an active capias issued by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Law enforcement officials also found approximately 110 white wax heroin bags inside Lamont Isabell’s jacket pocket.

Meanwhile, Tashiayanna Dillmore attempted to leave the premises with two children. She was stopped by troopers, who discovered a black Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun concealed in her waistband.

A subsequent computer check indicated that she did not possess a valid permit to carry a concealed deadly weapon. Authorities also learned that Demetric Isabell had asked Dillmore to conceal the handgun when he noticed police approaching the residence.

The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by Delaware State Police and partnering agencies to enforce drug and weapon laws, especially during routine checks like probation visits. The case remains under investigation.
