BUFFALO, NY – Darnell L. McIntosh, 39, of Buffalo, was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin J. Keane on Wednesday, on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment in the Second Degree.
The charges stem from an incident that allegedly took place on Tuesday, September 26, at an elementary school on the 200 block of Lawn Avenue in Buffalo.
It is alleged that McIntosh entered the school office and pushed a school employee to the ground. Additionally, he is accused of pushing, punching, and kicking a juvenile at the location. McIntosh is scheduled to return for a pre-trial conference on Tuesday, October 24, at 9:30 a.m.
He was released on his own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses for bail. A temporary order of protection was issued for both victims, and McIntosh was verbally ordered by Judge Keane to stay away from the elementary school.
If convicted of the highest charge, McIntosh faces a maximum sentence of up to one year in jail. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn commended the Buffalo Police Department for their investigation into the incident.
