Reward Offered in Investigation of Fort Washington Shooting

FORT WASHINGTON, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 16-year-old Elijah Fletcher of Fort Washington.

The incident occurred on Monday, around 5:40 pm, when officers were dispatched to the 8300 block of Indian Head Highway following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Fletcher inside a building, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate response, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The detectives are now working to uncover a motive and identify any suspect(s) involved in this incident.

The department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
