Three Wounded in Gunfire Near Bustling D.C. Eatery

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Three people were shot near The Point D.C., a seafood restaurant located on the 2100 block of 2nd Street in Southwest D.C. at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

Officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at two separate locations to find the victims: two adult males were discovered at the initial scene, and a boy under the age of eighteen was located near the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue Southwest. All victims were conscious and breathing when transported to a local hospital, two of them with serious injuries.

According to an incident report, gunfire was exchanged between two parties in the vicinity of the restaurant. Police have arrested one individual in connection with the shooting but did not release further details. Authorities are also seeking a gray Audi containing five individuals wearing black ski masks.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, as do the events leading up to the incident.
