JACKSON, NJ – Jonah Glenn’s running performance anchors Jackson Memorial’s 33-13 win over Brick Township, pushing the team to a 5-0 season record.
The Friday night game started off strong for Jackson Memorial with Jonah Glenn making a 58-yard touchdown run, followed by another touchdown, both kicked by Brock Babiak. By the end of the first quarter, Jackson Memorial led 14-0.
Brick Township tried to fight back in the second quarter. Jacob Toye returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown, but the kick failed, making the score 14-6. Jonah Glenn responded with a 10-yard touchdown run, again kicked by Brock Babiak, extending Jackson Memorial’s lead to 21-6.
In the third quarter, Albert D’Alessandro rushed for a 4-yard touchdown for Jackson Memorial, although the kick failed this time. Glenn added another score with a 33-yard run, but again, the kick was unsuccessful. By the end of the third quarter, Jackson Memorial had a commanding lead of 33-6.
Brick Township managed to score one last time in the fourth quarter. Jacob Toye caught a 48-yard pass from Christian Booker for a touchdown, kicked by Kurt Wieboldt, finalizing the score at 33-13.
Jonah Glenn led in rushing yards with a total of 274, while Dennis Caswell threw for 64 yards. Jackson Memorial’s defensive efforts were also noteworthy; Shaun Hubbard achieved a sack, and Albert D’Alessandro led in tackles with 10 and also made an interception.
With this win, Jackson Memorial remains undefeated this season, while Brick Township falls to a 4-2 record
