SILVER SPRING, MD – Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division is probing an attempted armed robbery at a Boston Market on Aspen Hill Road. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 17, when the suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money from an employee.
At approximately 8:16 p.m., the suspect approached the counter and made the demand. After the employee did not comply, the suspect used pepper spray on the employee’s face before fleeing the scene.
Police have obtained surveillance footage and are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect. The individual is described as a male of unknown race, around 20 years old, and 5-feet, 10-inches tall. He was wearing black goggles, a black mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and white Nike sneakers.
