Man Assaulted and Robbed By Two Outside Greenbelt Library

GREENBELT, MD – Early on Monday morning, around 7:00 am, an individual walking near the Greenbelt Library was assaulted and robbed.

The victim recounted that two young black males confronted him, pushed him to the ground, and repeatedly kicked him.

One of the assailants reportedly held a knife, though it wasn’t used in the attack. The suspects, described as wearing black hoodies and blue jeans, fled towards University Square after seizing the victim’s cell phone.

The victim sought help at the Aquatic Center, leading to police intervention. He was later transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
