FOUNTAIN GREEN, MD – A 65-year-old Harford County resident recently claimed a $1.1 million Multi-Match jackpot, making it the largest win of his Lottery-playing history. The win dwarfs the $10,000 prize he won years ago. The lucky ticket was purchased at Wawa #557, located at 1515 East Churchville Road in Fountain Green, where he frequently stops to play Lottery games.

The Bel Air man chose his own numbers for the first line on the Multi-Match ticket for the June 15 drawing, while the last two lines were quick-picks. One of these quick-pick lines turned out to be the jackpot winner. Upon checking his ticket two days later, he saw a “See Lottery” message and confirmed online that his ticket had won the jackpot.

The winner, a retired computer programmer, plans to use the winnings to pay off debts and take a vacation to Las Vegas. Wawa #557 will receive a $1,100 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The next Multi-Match drawing is set for Thursday, September 28, with an estimated annuity jackpot of $540,000 and a cash option estimated at $290,000.
