Kent County Task Force Arrests Suspect Who Carjacked Woman with Hammer

DOVER, DE – Delaware State Police arrested Antonio Vilone, 35, from Harrington, in connection with a robbery that took place last month in Magnolia. On August 8, troopers responded to a call on the 100 block of Riley Drive. The 22-year-old victim informed them that an acquaintance, Antonio Vilone, had accosted her in her car, spat on her, and demanded her car keys while threatening her with a hammer.

Vilone then fled in the victim’s tan 2002 Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle and Vilone were not located immediately, and the victim was not injured.

On September 19, members of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force were seeking Vilone for multiple outstanding felony warrants, including the robbery, as well as an active capias for a violation of probation.

Police located Vilone in Houston, operating a Chevrolet Silverado. Vilone evaded police capture during a vehicle pursuit. On September 20, Vilone was found on the 10000 block of South Old State Road in Ellendale. Upon seeing the police, Vilone attempted to flee on foot but was ultimately apprehended after being tased.
