Suspect Arrested in Braddock Teen Double Murder Admits to Shooting Third Victim

BRADDOCK, PA – An arrest was made today in connection to the double homicide that occurred in Braddock on August 27, with the suspect also implicated in the shooting of a third victim.

An Allegheny County Housing Authority Officer was patrolling near Margaretta Street and Center Street at approximately 11:00 pm when he heard multiple gunshots. Upon arriving at Center Street, the officer discovered two males deceased with gunshot wounds.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as 17-year-olds Rimel Williamson and Nazir Parker. A third male, identified as 16-year-old Jerell Rockymore, was found inside a nearby residence also suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Braddock Police called in the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit to assist with the investigation. Following their inquiry, detectives determined that Jerell Rockymore was involved in the incident.

A warrant was issued for his arrest. Today, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force apprehended Rockymore in the City of Pittsburgh. He is now charged with criminal homicide, receiving stolen property, and illegal possession of a firearm.
