BALTIMORE – Baltimore Police Department detectives have arrested 32-year-old Kyle Cooper in connection with the August 31 homicide of 66-year-old Eric Gill. Cooper has been charged with 1st-degree murder and is currently held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.
On the morning of August 31, Northeast District patrol officers were called to the 6100 block of Edlynne Road after receiving a report of a male lying in the street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male, later identified as Eric Gill, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced Gill dead at the scene.

The arrest occurred on September 19, following an investigation that identified Cooper as the individual responsible for the shooting.
