MANCHESTER, NJ – Manchester Township extended their winning streak to 4-0 with a decisive 45-7 win over Keansburg on Friday evening.
Manchester Township displayed a robust performance throughout the game, keeping their Shore Conference record unblemished at 3-0. Keansburg now falls to 0-3 for the season.
In the first quarter, Josh Love scored on a 69-yard pass from Aidan Lunn, followed by a 3-yard run from Lunn himself. Keansburg got on the board with a 40-yard run, making the score 14-7. The second quarter saw Manchester Township pull away with three scores, including an 11-yard pass to Dante Mortellite and a 25-yard field goal by Ian Spicer.
Josh Love scored again in the third quarter with a 3-yard run, and the final score came in the fourth quarter, sealing the game at 45-7 in favor of Manchester Township.
Game leaders included Aidan Lunn with 167 passing yards, and Josh Love with 168 rushing yards and 69 receiving yards for Manchester Township. On the defensive side, Kurtis Mayer recorded two sacks, and Manny Swain led with eight total tackles.
The result signals Manchester Township’s continued dominance in the Shore Conference and casts a shadow over Keansburg’s prospects for the season. Both teams are now preparing for their next matchups.
