Jackson Memorial to Host Showcase of Champions Band Competition

JACKSON, NJ – If you’re a fan of music, choreography, and vibrant performances, mark your calendar for Saturday, September 30, 2023. Jackson Memorial High School’s Jaguar Marching Band is hosting the highly anticipated “Showcase of Champions,” a competition that brings together award-winning marching bands from across the state.

Hosted at the Jack Munley Field at Jackson Memorial High School, located at 101 Don Connor Boulevard in Jackson, the competition promises a blend of musical excellence and artistic creativity. The event kicks off at 6:00 PM, with doors opening half an hour earlier at 5:30 PM.

The bands will be judged on their musical prowess as well as their field show performances, but the entertainment doesn’t stop there. In addition to an evening of extraordinary music, attendees can look forward to a range of activities and opportunities. Food vendors will be on-site, ensuring that your culinary needs are well taken care of as you enjoy the performances.

For those feeling lucky, a 50/50 raffle will be taking place. But that’s not all! A gift basket auction featuring baskets valued upwards of $150 is also on the agenda. These beautiful gift baskets promise to be as tempting as the performances are entertaining.

Though the Jaguar Marching Band will not be competing, they have an exceptional exhibition performance lined up. The band will present their show, “The Blue Frontier,” which promises to be a spectacle of music, color, and intricate choreography. Under the direction of Jason Diaz and Eric Ficarra, the band is excited to share this artistic vision with the audience.

What makes this event even more special is that all proceeds from ticket sales will go towards supporting the Jaguar Marching Band. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of quality entertainment while contributing to a worthy cause.
