New Jersey became tired of the Chris Christie show about halfway through his second term as governor. Now, a new season of the show is airing on campaign stages across the country as America is starting to learn why New Jersey doesn’t like their former governor.
This week, Christie announced that he could soon be dropping out of the race for president.
Christie didn’t disagree in an interview with former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo that if he finishes less than fourth in the New Hampshire primary, he could drop out of the race.
“Look, you know, the latest New Hampshire poll, I’m in second place at 14%,” he said. “So I’m already beating Ramaswamy and DeSantis. Only behind Trump. So, you know, I feel like we’re going to do very well there. And so I think the top four is absolutely attainable for us. And that’s what we’re going for.”
During the interview Christie also defended his anti-Trump campaign saying he’s targeting 65% of the GOP who he feels agrees with his opinions of the former president.
It’s not certain Christie got the 65% figure as he leads most polls by 50%.
