Marlboro Secures Shore Conference Victory Over Howell, 17-7

MARLBORO, NJ – Marlboro High School defeated Howell High School 17-7, extending their undefeated record in the Shore Conference.

Marlboro, now 3-0 in both season and conference play, started strong with a 2-yard run by Matt Cassidy in the first quarter. The second quarter remained scoreless, leaving Marlboro in the lead at halftime with a score of 7-0.

Howell, falling to an 0-3 record in both the season and the conference, managed to level the game at 7-7 in the third quarter. Brandon Wright scored a 1-yard run, followed by a successful kick by Luke Allard. However, Marlboro responded later in the same quarter with a 54-yard pass from Brayden Klein to Sam Hirsch, taking the lead once again at 14-7.

In the fourth quarter, Luke Rubin sealed the win for Marlboro with a 39-yard field goal, making the final score 17-7.

Marlboro will look to continue their winning streak, while Howell will aim to secure their first win in the upcoming matches.
